Horse people - I need your help. Sox has been doing really well with his feet, but his feet are still weak.  He is bruising really easily - not like him at all.  Although he has weak feet, his soles are fantastically strong.  But all of a sudden, he got bruised.  Then he abcessed right under his heel, on the left side of the hoof, on his club foot.  He has been on DuMor Hoof, Farrier's Formula, and is on Grand Hoof Pellets + MSM.  Out of all the supplements he's been on, only the Grand Hoof Pellets + MSM has shown any improvement.  He's on a great pasture, grass.  Gets a square bale a day of top quality hay, and his feed is Nutrena Triumph 1

So...fml.  I have yet, another dog.  Lets talk about red flags. 1)  Craigslist 2)  Free My co-worker found puppies on Craigslist for free, as she was looking for her boyfriend.  They were so called "Pit Bull X Rottie mixes".  They were being advertised at three-weeks-old, but weren't going to be ready for another three weeks.  Personally, I believe the puppies need to stay with the bitch until eight weeks, to learn proper socializing skills, but, ok, fine.  So I agree with my co-worker to go and pick up the puppy she wanted for her boyfriend.  She said they sounded really nice and that they wanted vet references and such for the puppies.

That's right - Sox is no longer wearing shoes!!!  He is VERY happy with our new farrier.  Finally, someone who knows what he is doing.  And RESPECTS my horse.  We had his feets done last...Tuesday I think?  Yeah, sounds about right, and he was being a bit of a pig.  I will admit, I haven't been around to see him.  I got screwed in more ways than one so I'm still coping with that, and I am definitely going to see my pony more.  I miss him, I miss my time with him, I miss him being an ass to me.  I miss my baby<3 Anyway, he was giving the farrier a hard time.  Everyone knows my horse had damn well be a freakin' gentleman or all hell will br
